To mark the joyous occasion of the 116th National Day, the final for the one-day Khuru knockout tournament was organized by the Divisional Forest Office, Samtse on behalf of the Dzongkhag Administration. The competitors showcased their precision and finesse in this traditional Bhutanese sport. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as players aimed to land their wooden darts on the target, strategically positioned at a distance. It was graced by the presence of the Dasho Dzongda, Lam Neten and other distinguished regional heads and guests.

The camaraderie among teams and the cheers from spectators added to the festive ambiance. With each skillful throw, the participants demonstrated not only their athleticism but also a deep connection to Bhutanese cultural heritage. 

Team Tensung was the winner amongst the three teams followed by team BPC and team Samtse Higher Secondary School. The man of the match was Mr. Chimi Dorji from team BPC. The persons recognized for the highest karey and dobji were Mr. Dawa Tshering (team Tensung) and Mr. Kezang P Loday (team Dzongkhag). The match concluded with a sense of accomplishment and a shared appreciation for the unique blend of tradition and competition that Khuru brings to the sporting arena.
