1.GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1Area & Location:
Sipsu gewog under Sipsu Dungkhag is where the Dungkhag Headquarters is located. It located to west of Samtse Dzongkhag and lies towards the south of Biru and Lahereni Gewogs and the Indian state of West Bengal to the southeast and west. It has around 27.67 square kilometers in area.
The gewog consist of 9 chiwogs with 11 villages. It has 498 gungs and 504 households (PHCB 2005) with a population of 3170 (PHCB 2005).

The gewog experience hot and humid summer, pleasant winter with annual rainfall ranges from 1200mm to 3000 mm. The altitude of the geog ranges from 400 to 1400 meters above the sea level.
