1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 Area & Location:
Dorokha gewog under Dorokha Dungkhag is located to the north of Samtse Dzongkhag and shares its border with Samtse and Pagli to the south, Denchukha to the east, Dumtoe to the north and Chengmari the west. The gewog has about 104.56 square kilometers of area.
It has 25 chiwogs with 25 villages. The total no of gungs is 511 and 891 households with population of 4419 (PHCB 2005).

2.CLIMATE:
The gewog experience warm summer, cold winter with annual rainfall ranges from 1500mm to 4000 mm. the gewog altitude ranges form 600m to 3000 m above the sea level with gentle slopes.
