1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 Area & Location:
Chargharey gewog lies to the west of Samtse Dzongkhag. It is bodered by Lahareni gewogs to the north, Chengmari and Nainital gewogs to east, Sipsu gewog to the southwest, Ghumauney (Yoeseltse) to the south East and Indian state of west Bangal to the South. It has an approximate area of approximately 39.37 square kilometers.
It consists of 11 chiwogs with 35 villages, with 503 gungs and 640 households. The population of the gewog is 3155 (PHCB 2005).
