1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 Area & Location:

Bara Gewog under Sispu Dungkhag lies to the western extreme of the Dzongkhag, sharing its border with Lahereni Gewog in the North, Tendu Gewog in the east and Indian State of West Bengal and Sikkim in the South and West respectively. It has an area of around 187.51 sq. Kms with elevations ranging from 1800-3000 meters above sea level.

The Gewog has 19 chiwogs and 19 villages. With 494 gungs and 606 Households it has population of 3403 (PHCB 2005).
